Alice Bell Pallister was the sixth child of Cuthbert Pallister & Alice Wardle (nee Sutheron) born August 17th, 1835 at Felling Shore & christened August 29th, 1835 at All Saints Silver Street Primitive Methodist Church, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
In 1841 Alice was at home with her family at Felling Shore, Heworth, Co Durham.
Alice was still living at home in 1851 with her parents & older brother & sister at Whickham, Co Durham.
In 1861 Alice was still with her parents at 30 Bentinck St, Elswick, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. She was a school teacher.
In April-June 1869 Alice married Daniel Perkins at Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Daniel was christened February 9th, 1835 at St Andrew, Worcester, the son of Jane & Thomas Perkins.
In 1871 Alice & Daniel (Parkins in Ancestry.co.uk index) were living at 18 Railway Terr, Elswick. Daniel was a stoker at the leather works. They had a 4 month old son, Thomas C, who sadly died at the age of 1 year.
In 1881 Alice & Daniel were living at 47 Hawes St, Elswick & Daniel
was described as a labourer. They had an 8 year old son John T & also
with them was Alice’s father, Cuthbert, now aged 78.
Alice & Daniel (Parkins in Ancestry.co.uk index) were still at Hawes St
in 1891, now living at no. 58. Daniel was a general labourer (leather) &
son John was an engine making apprentice.
Alice & Daniel had moved to 1 Houston St, Elswick by 1901. Daniel was still a labourer at the leather works & son John T was a fitter at Armstrongs, an engineering firm in Newcastle.
Daniel died in Jan-March 1907, aged 72, the death being registered at Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
In 1911 widowed Alice, aged 75, was living at 3 Wilkinson Court, Byker Bank, Newcastle-upon-Tyne with her son John Thomas who was a labourer at the boiler yard.
Alice died in Jan-March 1916, aged 80, the death being registered at Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
